Chapter 3: When Lyrics Comes To Life

Jesse arrived at home. Here he found his mother watching TV. Dorothea looked at him and she wasn't happy of what her eyes were seeing. "Jesse are you ok?" Jesse looked at her. He was crying. Then Dorothea saw he was holding an envelope. "What's in that envelope?" she asked but Jesse wasn't in a mood of talking. "Jesse James don't make me ask it twice!" she said more surious. "Pauline knows who i am!" he wispered and walked slowly the stairs to his room with his head down.

Arriving at his room he lied to his bed. "Fuck! I fuck this up! I desrve to be fucking alone!" he was blaming himself but this didn't make him feel better. He took his phone and called Pauline. She didn't answered. He called again. The same. He called a several times but the same. She didn't want to speak to him and Jesse didn't blame her. He'll do the same.

Stephanie has heard him cuirsing himself and start worred. She knew that he was with a girl named Pauline but she didn't knew details. That was what is going to know. She opened the door of his room and said "Hey Jess are you alright?" "What do you want Steph? I'm not in the mood! And i'll never be again....." "Problems with your girlfriend?" "My EX-girlfriend you mean!" "You broke up? Why?" "She knows who i am!" "And  you make it sound like is the end of the world!" "For me IS the end of the world! I lost her Steph... forever....." "Jesse calm down and tell me! From the begging please...." Stephanie told him surious. Jesse knew he couldn't run away from this so he signed.

"Pauline and i met in Ava's birthday party. She has her heair brown and a pair of the most beautiful brown eyes i've ever seen. When i saw her Ava was there and told me she's a fan! I was thrilled! I mean she would recognize me but she didn't. Then we sut together and ate! She's from Greece and she moved in Red Bank almost a year ago. To sum up two weeks later after i met her i asked her to by girlfriend, i had already broke up with Jennifer. All this 9 months dad and Ava were telling me to tell her the truth before is too late! So, somehow she find out who i was and she broke up with me!"

Stephanie was looking at him while he was talking. She can see the love in his blue eyes as he was talking about her. Stephanie singed and get closer to him. "Look, Jess you have to let alone to think! She must be shoked!" "I know that but for how long?" "I don't for who long!Time is the only cure"  "And what if she doesn't want to talk to me?" "Well, if she doesn't i'm sure your little mind of yours will come out with something!" she looked down to her little brother who was in pain. "But be careful! Make sure with whatever you come out will make her come back to you!" "And if she didn't?" "If she doesn't i'm afraid you'll have to accept she's not coming back!" As these words came out from Stephanie's mouth Jesse realized he might loose Pauline forever and he didn't want this to happend. He doesn't want even to think about. He lift his head and looked to Stephanie and hugged her "Thanks sis!" When the broke apart she answered "That's why sisters are for...." Stephanie put a smile on her face and tried to make Jesse feel a little better.

They sut there and have some sister and brother time. Stephanie knew what to do to make her brother smile just for a little and she made it. But no matter how hard she was trying Jesse was sad,ver sad.

The night that followed the four Bongiovi kids sut and watch movies, happy movies. Jesse had managed to hide it from his little brother but he couldn't hide it from his mother and his sister.

When the movies were done Jesse went to his room. He lied to his bed with his football ball on his hads. The ball was from the right hand to the left again and again. As he was playing and thinking an idea hit his head. "That's it! She's a fan! How can i forget that? She said not to call her not to type her... That's it! I have to find the love songs....." Jesse said and put the football ball on the flour and left running from his room.

He went downstairs to his dad's office. He turned on the lights. He knew that his dad was keeping all the lyrics of the songs on his office but Jesse didn't know where.

He was searcing every drower and box but nothing. On the other side of the office was a huge bookcase. Without losing a second Jesse went to there. And here they were! All the songs with the lyrics. He took them from the shelf and start searching for the best 7 songs for their occasion. As he was searching he found some songs that matched perfectly. He took the books to his room and tommorow will typed her the first song. 

He thought that throught these songs will make her understnd how much he loves her and how badly he wanted her to came back. Seven songs are one week. If this week he didn't win her back that means he lost her forever!

The sun was up in the blue sky. This day Jesse will  put into practice his plan. If she doesn't want to call her he had a better idea. 

After taking breakfast he went to his room. He had already chose the first song will sent her. He found the lyrics on the book but now he must find the perfect part of it. He was reading Stay over and over again and he finaly found the perfect part. He took his phone and typed.

13.00-Jesse These arms weren't there to hold you. And when i was home i was miles away. Now you've got every right to go girl but i'm standing here. I'm begging you.
 Stay just a little longer. You've always be the one who was stronger. I can't let you go. I'm begging you stay. Stay because i need you with every breath i breathe you. I can't let you walk away.......

Jesse read it one more time before he send it. He knew that Pauline was not gonna answered him but he gave it a shot. He crossed his fingers and wait.

On the other side of Jersey Pauline was lying on her bed when she heard a sound from her mobile. She thought she might be Ava. They didn't spoke from the day thy went to the music store. She took the phone from the nightstand and for her suprise wasn't Ava it was Jesse. She unlocked her phone and read the message or better the lyrics of the song that he send.

From the first words Pauline knew which song it was, Stay. She really loved the song and it was the perfect part for their occasion. That make her eyes waterd again. Now Pauline realised what game Jesse was playing. She just wasn't ready to talk to him at least not right now. She needed time a lot of time.

As the minutes passed and Pauline didn't answered Jesse was going crazy. "Fuck! Why i send it? Why i'm doing everything wrong?" he said and sighed. He was the one to blame but what is done is done and he couldn't take it back.

He had made the start end he couldn't give up now and he didn't wanted to. He'll give anything to win her back.

Day two since the break up.

It was a new day for everyone but not for Pauline and Jesse. Jesse broke her heart and now was trying to win her back with any cost.

All the morning Jesse was looking for an another song to send her. It was more dificlut than he thought. But he was not abou to giving up. He took his phone and typed.

17.49-Jesse Now the sky, it shines a different kind of blue and the neighbor's dog don't bark like he used to. Well - me, these days i just miss you - it's the nights that I go insane. Unless you're coming back for me that's one thing I know that won't change.

Jesse as he was typing the lyrics he realized who much he missed her already. It's been just two days and he was missing her like crazy.

Pauline wanted so bad to call him and told him it's ok, i forgive you but she couldn't. Jesse broke her heart with the most painful way and she can't forgive him.

Pauline was there in her room. Since the day of the break up she didn't ate, she didn't sleep, she didn't even get out from her room. She was there in her bed with the same clothes crying for the love she lost or he make it lost it. When she heard a sound form her phone. Now she knew it was Jesse and she wasn't happy about it.

As she read the lyrics she realized that she was missing him too. It was so hard for her to tell him all the things that she said to him two days ago. These words were tearing both hearts, Pauline's and Jesse's.

She put the phone to the covers with anger. "Why is so hard for him to understand that i don't want to talk to him?" she cryied out but she didn't make a sound.

The next daythe sun was shining up in the blue sky but not for long. After luch time the sky was filled with big, black clouds. Even the weather was sad about Pauline and Jesse. They both were starring out of the window and wishing the same thing. To be together holding each other. They both singed as the rain started in the middle of the night.

Pauline loved rain but sh loved more the way rain smells especialy at night so she but a jacket on and went to the balcony. As she sut the phone in her pocket was buzzing. She unlocked it and read the message that Jesse send her.

22.48-Jesse As a hard rain beats down in the night it sounds like applause still I can't hear a sound with the beat of my heart. If I don't say 'I love you' everything else is a waste of my breathe. Every beat of my heart I would give every beat of my heart just to live to live for your love, if all that I want is to die in your arms. I'd give you every beat of my heart.
As I whisper your name I wish you were here by my side and the only way that I find you is when I close my eyes. With my ring on your finger I hope and I pray that you know deep in your soul with every step that you take.

 As Pauline was reading the rain was getting stronger and stronger. She was stying hard not to cry but she couldn't help herself and let the hot tears run to her pal face. It was getting cold and Pauline start freezing. So she got up and went to her bed. She hugged tight the framed picture of her and Jesse and left asleep whispering his name again and again.

 

Chapter 2: This Is The End

The night that followed Pauline wasn't able to sleep. The scene of the phone call was playing nonstop on her head. She was always thinking a lot for taking any desision. The only desision she made without thinking was to become Jesse's girlfriend.

And here she was. Someone called her and told her Jesse wasn't not who she think he's. What that suppost to mean? Pictures? What kind of pictures? Were the questions that followed Pauline's thoughts.

What if Jesse is chaeting on me? And the pictures are with him and her? Wait a second..... Who wants us not to be together? Jennifer and Zack! I don't think Zack can do something like this, can't he? But Jennifer is able for everything! I still remember that way she looked me the day we had a fight! I have to go! I must go... 

Pauline's thoughts came to her mind as she opened the door of her room. She didn't sleep. Just thinking over and over again. The phone call, Jesse and of course Jennifer. The voise on the phone call wasn't a females!

Walking down the stairs with the carkeys to her hand she left the house. As she made her way to the garage to take the car her hands were shaking. She was nervous.....a lot. "Come on Pauline! You can do this!" Finaly she get to the car and put forwoard the machine.

She typed the adress to the GPS and left. On her way to the school thoughts were again on her mind. And what if all this is a part of joke? But the way of his talking it was sound true and surious. And if Jesse is not who i think he's. Then who is he? 

Pauline shaked her head and let the bad thoughts go away. She opened the car window and let the hot air to hit her head thinking this would might help her to forget the thoughts she just had made.

10 minutes later she had parked the car to the school's parking lot. She was there sitting on the driver's seat puzzled. Hand were start shaking again but this time more. She had to go. She didn't want to stary there forever. With a deep sigh she opened the door.

Closinging it behind her she passed to the park. A few feets away behind the car Jennifer was wacthing her. She was there for other an hour waiting for Pauline to arrive. She was sure she'll come and there she was. For the time she broke up with Jesse because of her she had made a perpose of her life to destroy Pauline.

All the time they were together she was right there behind them. Wherever they were going Jennifer was there. To the park, to the cinema she was there. But they didn't notished her. After hours of searching and listening to them talking she came to the conclusion...... Pauline didn't know Jesse's last name.

So, she thought it was a nice way to Pauline to learn the truth and first of all breaking up. Jennifer wanted Jesse for herself. If she couldn't have had him then no one girl in the world will does. That was her little, evil plan that is coming true. Jennifer was right Pauline didn't know and it was time to know.

Pauline was looking around for the trash bin when she heard a familiar voise. "I didn't thought you'll come Timson!" Jennifer said standing  15 feets away from Pauline. Pauline as she heard Jennifer's voise was thrilled. "What are you doing here?" "I have a little present for you my little, pour girl!" Jennifer teased her with a way that Pauline wanted to kill her right now but she staied calm. Jennifer gave her the envelope. "What's that?" she asked. "Don't you remember? I called you yesterday!" "You called me huh?" "Yeah!" "Why are you doing all this?" Pauline asked her a question that Jennifer didn't want to answer. "It doesn't matter!" "All that really matters!" "Don't try to be a smartass.... now take the envelope and get the fuck out of here!!" Pauline didn't answer she didn't want to raise her temper again and she let the comment go.

She finaly had in her hands the envelopw with the pictures. She was just a few miles away from home. She hit the gas and get to her home as quick as she could. She went straight to her room and closed the door.

Hands were shaking once again as she sut on her bed. It was now or never! She got the envelope in her hands she couldn't step back now. After taking a deer breath she opened it.

Eyes closed and put her hand in it and put some pitcures form the envelope. Eyes opened and she wished eyes will stay closed forever.

It was Jesse with Jon. Together. Walking on a road in New York. She pasted quickly and the other ones. But nothing had changed! It was Jesse with Jon in all the pictures.

Pauline shaked her head. She thought that these were a part of a joke but it wasn't! It was 100% true.

As Pauline realised what Jennifer was talking about she felt like someone hit hear heart with a hammer and broke it in billion little pieces all over her bedroom. Eyes got more and more watered. She took to her hands the two frames she had to her nightstands. She was starring at them for a long time and then everything was making sence.

The name. The age. The eyes. The smile. Everything on him she reminds her of Jon! Jesse had lied to her more that once but why?

Thinking of posible reason of Jesse being a lier the love that felt for him now was turned to hate. Why she was using her? He done all this to make Jennifer jelous? Questions that they must be answered as soon as possible.

Collecting the billion pieces of her heart she taped him a message.

Meet you at 20.00 to our bench. Don't be late.... P

She send it. Singing at hot tears were making there way to her cold face. She lied to her bed crying......

Her mother was behind the door listening. All she could hear was her daughter crying. She opened the door and found her on her bed.

She moved to her daughter's bed and sut down next to her. Pauline as she felt someone was there she turned. Her eyes were red from crying. "Pauline what happend?" she asked with a calm voise. Pauline didn't answered. In addition she pointed the envelope with the pictures. Katerina puzzled and got up and looked at them. "Oh!" she said and put her hand to her mouth. She was amazed. Katerina then looked at her daughter who never stop crying. "Pauline i'm sorry!" she said and huged her. "You didn't know it, right?" she asked and Pauline nobbed. "I'm gonna kill that son of a bitch!" Katerina said with anger in her eyes. "No, mum! I can handle it! It's a personal matter and i would appreciate if you didn't involved!" Pauline said looking Katerina in her eyes. Her mother could see the anger and the hate in her look as she spoke for him. Katerina nodded and smiled at her. "Now, mum i want to be alone...." she said and turned her face on the other side of the room. Katerina left the room.

After of 6 painful and crying hours it was time for Pauline to face Jesse. She didn't believe it. She was staring at these pictures for hours making questions of why. A why was bouncing in her mind and it couldn't stop unless Pauline will hear why Jesse was doing all this.

 Pauline was walking next to the lake holding the envelope that turned ups side downs to her life just with a damn phone call. As she got closer she saw Jesse sitting there. She was sure he was thinking something. 

On the other side Jesse had no idea that the storm was on the way. He really didn't except it when Pauline send him the message. All this time he was planning the perfect way to tell Pauline his last name and he find it. The only thing Jesse didn't planned was that Pauline has already know who he was.

Jesse saw her coming. Her eyes were filled with hate and anger. She was also holding an envelope. He never saw her like this before and he knew that wasn't a good mark. Pauline was looking at him. He was so inocent and cute in the same time. She couldn't believe it what he'd done to her.

When she get closer to him Jesse stand up to hug her but Pauline had other plans. She throw him the envelopw with anger and said "How could you Jesse? How could you lie to me for 9 months?" she said with hate and her eyes get watered for one more time this day.

Jesse looked puzzled as he was looking at her talking to him like this. Now, there is no doubt. She knew. Jesse put the envelope away and trying to get closer to her but she stopped him. "How Jesse? You were lieing to me all this time about who you were?" Jesse could see how much this was hearting her. He could hear it from her voise. "Look Pauline just let me explain!" "Explain what Jesse? I was honest with you for the first time we talked but you weren't!" "Just let me explain for God shake! I was going to tell you that today!" "Oh yeah? You know Jesse i don't believe any of the words that came out of your mouth! I'm not sure if you loved me!" "I never loved a girl a much i love YOU!" Jesse said looking her in her eyes. "If you loved me as you said you would had  told me the truth at the party! That's it Jesse! THIS IS THE END!" Pauline said and she was ready to go but she felt a hand stoping her. "Come on Paul don't leave me! Let's sit there and talk! I'm sure we can make this work!" "My name is Pauline and I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN! I've never thought that i'm goinr to say that" she paused. "We both know we had some good times.... but they are OVER..... Don't ever call me again! Goodbye Jesse James Louis Bongiovi....." Pauline said and left Jesse alone.

Jesse watched her leaving and that was tearing his broken heart. She sut on the bench and looked at the pictures and cuirsed more that once. But this couldn't change anything. He wasn't Pauline's boyfriend anymore. He broke her heart and he will never stick it again. He wished he would had  tell her the truth at the party. His dad and ava were right. He didn't listen to them for the first time. On his mind came across like a movie all his talks with his father and Ava, they were right and he knew it. He let the time go and now it too late to do anything. She was gone and she'll never come back. He got up and went there where he parked his car. 

On his way home he was thinking their good times. They were a lot. Starting from when they ate the cake from Ava's party. Then, the time he kissed her at the change rooms. The day she ate a Jersey hot-dog for the first time. New Year's Eve. He remebered the wish he said

I wish i'll spend the rest of my life with Pauline on my side! 

He laughed at his memory knowing that this was not going to happend.

Chapter 1: Unexpected Phone Call

Monday morning. After a very pissed and happy weekend it was finaly summer holidays......

That day Pauline had arrange with Ava to go to the store to change the intruments they like. Alex and Zack will go on Tuesday.

Pauline woke up with a big smile on her face. She couldn't believe that they won. The all thing of performing on stage was great and unique. She had never done this before but she wasn't nervous. She had her best friends and of course Jesse. Pauline get up and notised a little box on the night stand. "What's this?" she wondered and opened it.

"Holy shit!" was the only she could say. It was a single car key. Without losing a second she left the room and went downstars running. Here she found her family. She went straight to her dad's hug. "Oh daddy that you so much! Thank you thank you!" Kostas just smiled and answered. "It was time! After all in 2 months you'll be sixteen and you'll need a car!" "Oh dad i promise you i won't let you down on that! I give you my word. I'll be the best driver ever..... oooo YEAH......." Pauline was yelling and her mother and father were sitting and watching.

Zeta came from upstairs and she wasn't in a good mood. "Pauline would you shut the fuck up? YOU woke me up from God shake!" "Well, in an another case i will fight with you but i won't because i HAVE A CAR!! And you don't......" Zeta rolled her eyes. "You have a car?" "Yeah i do!" Pauline answered and show her the car key. "You're....." "Lucky? But i wouldn't say that! I'm just older that you and i have car....!" "Whatever!"

After eatting her breakfast Pauline went upstairs and get dressed and go a ride with her first car. She had had some driving lessons with her dad on the past. She was really good at it. Also someday her mother let drive her to the supermarket. That was on of her best days ever in her life. And now here she go she have her own car.

She thought it would be nice to suprice Ava today. she likes when Ava is suprised but she likes better when Jesse is suprised. Jesse asked her to go out on Thursday. So this day will show up with her car.

Pauline went to the garage with the keys of her car. It was parked between her mom's and dad's car. The colour was black. It wasn't very big but not too small. It was perfect for her. She opened the door of the driver's seat and get in. She could smell the fresh air. She took a quick look of the front seats and then to the backseats.

She didn't want to waist any other minutes. So she put forward the machine and left. She opened the window and let the morning fresh Jersey air to go all over her and the car. While she was driving she notished that the car wants  gas. 

A few miles away she found a gas store and she stoped. After putting some gas she took the way back to her house. Now nothing can change her mood. This morning was far way the best morning in her whole life.

The sun starts going away as Pauline walked out of her house and unlocked her new car. She get in and she notised that there was a GPS "I'm so fucking blind sometimes!" she joked herself. Then she left the CD's she brought from her room on the seat next to her. She took one and put it on the CD player of the car. After that Pauline opened the GPS and tapped Ava's home adress and left.

20 minutes later Pauline pulled Sambora's house driveway. She parked and get out. A few seconds later she was on the front door and hit the doorbell. Ava opened the door and said "Hey you!" "Hello there!" "Come in..." Ava said and took a step back to let Pauline walked in. As she walked she notised a black suitace. "You going somewhere?" she asked but the answer didn't came from Ava it came from Richie who was in the kitchen."I'm going..." Richie said and Pauline turned and saw him. "Oh hi Richie! I didn't saw you!" "It's ok... Ready to go ladies?" he asked and Ava took her purse. "Richie i'm sorry but i don't to hurt your feelings. I know that you're leaving from London and i have already arrange out transport!" Richie took the suitcase and answered "It's ok by me! Is your mother with you?" "No, i'm the driver....." Pauline answered and pulled from her pocket the carkeys. "Oh my God! You have a car!" Ava said exeted. "Yeah!" "Come on Pauline i want to see it..." Ava said and took Pauline's hand and went to her car following by Richie. "Oh God! Look at it! Look at the colour! Daddy i want one like Pauline's!" Ava said as she was looking carefully every inch of the car. "Ok Princess!" "Come on Pauline we have shopping to do!" Ava said. "Hey i'm leaving you know for 2 weeks...." Richie said plaintived. "Oh yeah! Sorry daddy..." Ava answered and gave to her dad a big kiss and one bigger hug. "When i land i'll call you! And Grandma will come here tommow morning! You'll be ok if you sleep on night alone?" "Of course! I'm a big girl dad!" "And don't forget to luck all the doors before you go to bed...." "Yeah yeah...." Ava said annoying. "Good! Pauline i'm see you around! And watch your driving..." "Yes, King! Ava what about to film an onther video for Lost Highway?" "Oh hell yeah..." ava answered and Richie raised an eyebrow. "I'm just kidding! I prefere Fast Cars!" "Pauline please be carefull when you say such a things! I'm an old man remember!" "Maybe next time!" Pauline joked.

Both Pauline and Ava were on the car wearing seatbelts. They said goodbye to Richie and left for the music store. Which it wasn't too far away from the Sambora house. 

Pauline parked the car on the parking lot of the music store. They both get of and walked to the music store. As they both were in the store a girl over 20's appeared. "Hello! How can i help you?" she asked polite. "We're the winners..." Ava started. "Oh yeah come with me!" the girl said and Ava with Pauline followed her. "Do you have your checks?" she asked and Ava first gave her and then Pauline. "Congratulations first of all and.... on my God!" the girl said as she double checked the name. "You're Richie Sambora's daughter?" she asked as she rolled her eyes. "Yeah!" "Oh i'm so happy to meet you! Big fan!" "Thanks! Now acn we pick up everything we like?" "Yes!" "And if we want something that is more expensive?" Pauline asked knowing for what was talking about "If you have the extra money is alright!" "Ok, thanks!" Pauline answerd to the girl and smiled.

Pauline went straight to guitars as a very nice idea had come to her head for the first time she went to the Sambora house. It was very easy to find what she wanted a ESP LTD SA-2! For the first time she touched she was sure she wanted one so badly. So from that day she start saving money to buy it. Pauline put it away from the frame and went to find Ava.

Ava wasn't sure what to buy. They have almost every intrument on the studio. Pauline found her in the hallway with accordions. "What are you doing here?" Pauline asked with a suprised look. "I'm just looking!" "Accordions?" "Yeah why not?" "I don't what Samboras have with accordions....." "What do you mean?" "Oh you don't know?" "Know what?" "Richie started playing accordion but he gave it up because he couldn't find any girls by playing accordion!" "Haha! That's cool and it's the first time i hear it!" "Surious? He tells that in every interview!" "You know sometimes i think you know more things about my dad than i do!" "Don't be silly Ava! I'm just a fan and you're his daughter!" 

Pauline's phone rung. She pulled from her pocket and checked the ID 'Unknown'  

"Hello?" "Jesse is not that who you think he is...." "What are you talking about? Who are you?" "If you want to know what i'm talking about come tommorow in the park opposite the High School of Red Bank. Here next to trash bix will be an envelope with some pictures....." 

Ava could see the tirifed look on Pauline's face as she hugn out the phone. "Pauline are you ok? You look pal!" "Yeah i'm fine! Wrong number!" "Wrong number? Don't try to fool me Pauline! What's wrong?" Pauline looked at her in her eyes and answered "Someone called me and said that Jesse is not who i think he is! And if i want to find it out i must go to the Red Bank's High School tommorow morning!" "What the fuck? Who was?" "I... i don't know!" "Ok Pauline relax! Everything is gonna be alright! Maybe we can call the Police!" "No, the Police! Will make things wrorse! I'll figure it out tommorow morning!" "You can't be serious? And if they are here and hurt you or kill you?" "The guy said there is an envelope!" Pauline saw Ava thinking. "What's on your mind?" she asked her. "I had a thought! It might be silly or it might be right! Maybe Jennifer is taking revenge!" "Revenge for what?" "Pauline you stole her boyfriend!" "I didn't stole him! He broke up with her...." "Remember what she said that day you havd a fight with her?" "Yeah she said 'I'm not done with you yet...'" "Bingo! It's Jennifer!" "But what the envelope will have inside?" "I don't know! You'll go right?" "Yeah, i'll go...." Pauline said surious and ava could see the fire in her brown eyes. That scears the hell out of her. 

"Ok! What do you think about accordion?" Ava asked in order to keep Pauline's mind busy and not to think the unexpected phone call. "It would be nice!" "I think that too! And we don't have an accordion on the studio!" "Nice!" "You what did you bring?" Pauline showed her the ESP LTD SA-2. "You really like this guitar!" "I don't like it i love it!
