Chapter 3: When Lyrics Comes To Life

Jesse arrived at home. Here he found his mother watching TV. Dorothea looked at him and she wasn't happy of what her eyes were seeing. "Jesse are you ok?" Jesse looked at her. He was crying. Then Dorothea saw he was holding an envelope. "What's in that envelope?" she asked but Jesse wasn't in a mood of talking. "Jesse James don't make me ask it twice!" she said more surious. "Pauline knows who i am!" he wispered and walked slowly the stairs to his room with his head down.

Arriving at his room he lied to his bed. "Fuck! I fuck this up! I desrve to be fucking alone!" he was blaming himself but this didn't make him feel better. He took his phone and called Pauline. She didn't answered. He called again. The same. He called a several times but the same. She didn't want to speak to him and Jesse didn't blame her. He'll do the same.

Stephanie has heard him cuirsing himself and start worred. She knew that he was with a girl named Pauline but she didn't knew details. That was what is going to know. She opened the door of his room and said "Hey Jess are you alright?" "What do you want Steph? I'm not in the mood! And i'll never be again....." "Problems with your girlfriend?" "My EX-girlfriend you mean!" "You broke up? Why?" "She knows who i am!" "And  you make it sound like is the end of the world!" "For me IS the end of the world! I lost her Steph... forever....." "Jesse calm down and tell me! From the begging please...." Stephanie told him surious. Jesse knew he couldn't run away from this so he signed.

"Pauline and i met in Ava's birthday party. She has her heair brown and a pair of the most beautiful brown eyes i've ever seen. When i saw her Ava was there and told me she's a fan! I was thrilled! I mean she would recognize me but she didn't. Then we sut together and ate! She's from Greece and she moved in Red Bank almost a year ago. To sum up two weeks later after i met her i asked her to by girlfriend, i had already broke up with Jennifer. All this 9 months dad and Ava were telling me to tell her the truth before is too late! So, somehow she find out who i was and she broke up with me!"

Stephanie was looking at him while he was talking. She can see the love in his blue eyes as he was talking about her. Stephanie singed and get closer to him. "Look, Jess you have to let alone to think! She must be shoked!" "I know that but for how long?" "I don't for who long!Time is the only cure"  "And what if she doesn't want to talk to me?" "Well, if she doesn't i'm sure your little mind of yours will come out with something!" she looked down to her little brother who was in pain. "But be careful! Make sure with whatever you come out will make her come back to you!" "And if she didn't?" "If she doesn't i'm afraid you'll have to accept she's not coming back!" As these words came out from Stephanie's mouth Jesse realized he might loose Pauline forever and he didn't want this to happend. He doesn't want even to think about. He lift his head and looked to Stephanie and hugged her "Thanks sis!" When the broke apart she answered "That's why sisters are for...." Stephanie put a smile on her face and tried to make Jesse feel a little better.

They sut there and have some sister and brother time. Stephanie knew what to do to make her brother smile just for a little and she made it. But no matter how hard she was trying Jesse was sad,ver sad.

The night that followed the four Bongiovi kids sut and watch movies, happy movies. Jesse had managed to hide it from his little brother but he couldn't hide it from his mother and his sister.

When the movies were done Jesse went to his room. He lied to his bed with his football ball on his hads. The ball was from the right hand to the left again and again. As he was playing and thinking an idea hit his head. "That's it! She's a fan! How can i forget that? She said not to call her not to type her... That's it! I have to find the love songs....." Jesse said and put the football ball on the flour and left running from his room.

He went downstairs to his dad's office. He turned on the lights. He knew that his dad was keeping all the lyrics of the songs on his office but Jesse didn't know where.

He was searcing every drower and box but nothing. On the other side of the office was a huge bookcase. Without losing a second Jesse went to there. And here they were! All the songs with the lyrics. He took them from the shelf and start searching for the best 7 songs for their occasion. As he was searching he found some songs that matched perfectly. He took the books to his room and tommorow will typed her the first song. 

He thought that throught these songs will make her understnd how much he loves her and how badly he wanted her to came back. Seven songs are one week. If this week he didn't win her back that means he lost her forever!

The sun was up in the blue sky. This day Jesse will  put into practice his plan. If she doesn't want to call her he had a better idea. 

After taking breakfast he went to his room. He had already chose the first song will sent her. He found the lyrics on the book but now he must find the perfect part of it. He was reading Stay over and over again and he finaly found the perfect part. He took his phone and typed.

13.00-Jesse These arms weren't there to hold you. And when i was home i was miles away. Now you've got every right to go girl but i'm standing here. I'm begging you.
 Stay just a little longer. You've always be the one who was stronger. I can't let you go. I'm begging you stay. Stay because i need you with every breath i breathe you. I can't let you walk away.......

Jesse read it one more time before he send it. He knew that Pauline was not gonna answered him but he gave it a shot. He crossed his fingers and wait.

On the other side of Jersey Pauline was lying on her bed when she heard a sound from her mobile. She thought she might be Ava. They didn't spoke from the day thy went to the music store. She took the phone from the nightstand and for her suprise wasn't Ava it was Jesse. She unlocked her phone and read the message or better the lyrics of the song that he send.

From the first words Pauline knew which song it was, Stay. She really loved the song and it was the perfect part for their occasion. That make her eyes waterd again. Now Pauline realised what game Jesse was playing. She just wasn't ready to talk to him at least not right now. She needed time a lot of time.

As the minutes passed and Pauline didn't answered Jesse was going crazy. "Fuck! Why i send it? Why i'm doing everything wrong?" he said and sighed. He was the one to blame but what is done is done and he couldn't take it back.

He had made the start end he couldn't give up now and he didn't wanted to. He'll give anything to win her back.

Day two since the break up.

It was a new day for everyone but not for Pauline and Jesse. Jesse broke her heart and now was trying to win her back with any cost.

All the morning Jesse was looking for an another song to send her. It was more dificlut than he thought. But he was not abou to giving up. He took his phone and typed.

17.49-Jesse Now the sky, it shines a different kind of blue and the neighbor's dog don't bark like he used to. Well - me, these days i just miss you - it's the nights that I go insane. Unless you're coming back for me that's one thing I know that won't change.

Jesse as he was typing the lyrics he realized who much he missed her already. It's been just two days and he was missing her like crazy.

Pauline wanted so bad to call him and told him it's ok, i forgive you but she couldn't. Jesse broke her heart with the most painful way and she can't forgive him.

Pauline was there in her room. Since the day of the break up she didn't ate, she didn't sleep, she didn't even get out from her room. She was there in her bed with the same clothes crying for the love she lost or he make it lost it. When she heard a sound form her phone. Now she knew it was Jesse and she wasn't happy about it.

As she read the lyrics she realized that she was missing him too. It was so hard for her to tell him all the things that she said to him two days ago. These words were tearing both hearts, Pauline's and Jesse's.

She put the phone to the covers with anger. "Why is so hard for him to understand that i don't want to talk to him?" she cryied out but she didn't make a sound.

The next daythe sun was shining up in the blue sky but not for long. After luch time the sky was filled with big, black clouds. Even the weather was sad about Pauline and Jesse. They both were starring out of the window and wishing the same thing. To be together holding each other. They both singed as the rain started in the middle of the night.

Pauline loved rain but sh loved more the way rain smells especialy at night so she but a jacket on and went to the balcony. As she sut the phone in her pocket was buzzing. She unlocked it and read the message that Jesse send her.

22.48-Jesse As a hard rain beats down in the night it sounds like applause still I can't hear a sound with the beat of my heart. If I don't say 'I love you' everything else is a waste of my breathe. Every beat of my heart I would give every beat of my heart just to live to live for your love, if all that I want is to die in your arms. I'd give you every beat of my heart.
As I whisper your name I wish you were here by my side and the only way that I find you is when I close my eyes. With my ring on your finger I hope and I pray that you know deep in your soul with every step that you take.

 As Pauline was reading the rain was getting stronger and stronger. She was stying hard not to cry but she couldn't help herself and let the hot tears run to her pal face. It was getting cold and Pauline start freezing. So she got up and went to her bed. She hugged tight the framed picture of her and Jesse and left asleep whispering his name again and again.
